It seems like everyone in south Mississippi has a hurricane Katrina horror story to tell and it has been my experience that others are tired of hearing them; but not David McMillen with Mississippi Home Solutions. He listened and understood the problems we had with hurricane damage, insurance companies, contractors, and worst of all my husbands health problems and our need to move closer to our children. After living in the same house for 27 years he helped make our transition as quick and convenient as possible and explained everything as we went through all the necessary steps of selling our home in its damaged state Everyone working with David was helpful and polite and we feel that Mississippi Home Solutions is providing a valuable service to those of us who are and were still caught up in the aftermath of Katrina. I can honestly say the David McMillen is one of the finest men on God's earth. He was an answer to my prayers. I was being pulled down by circumstances and headed into foreclosure. I had an odd case with the selling of my home. You see, besides my financial problems, the dirt road that my house was built on was supposed to have been taken over by the County, but instead they didn't and marked it PRIVATE DRIVE, and "nobody" but "everybody owned it. So I was being foreclosed on and I couldn't sell my house because there's no access to it. This road was a thorn in the side of many people for 40 years. Then one day I got a letter from David McMillen stating that he could help. I called and immediately I felt at ease and I knew then he was my angel. He went door to door finding out who really owned this road, then spent days in the court house in research on land deeds. He unscrambled the mess, found solutions to the problems, and never gave up. He always was positive, even when I wasn't. David kept me informed all the way with each breakthrough and finally got the house sold. It is always a mixed blessing to sell a home. I had some good memories there and it was hard for me to go back to take a picture of a beam in the shed that my son had signed the day my father, my son and I finished the house. David realized this and took his time to go out there and get a picture of it for me. I will ever be grateful to him and recommend him highly to anyone who needs help and wants a great and honest person.

Aggravation at every corner especially working with Countrywide. But you stuck with it and didn't give up. This wasn't easy by any means and we want you to know how much your continued effort in saving us from foreclosure meant to us. Nothing can accurately express our thanks for everything you have done. You will always be remembered with kind and loving thoughts. I cannot find the words to thank you correctly. I just had to express to you how much everything you have done means to me and the boys.

We were in debt and my husband had walked away from me and a beautiful 11 year old terminally ill girl. As a stay-at-home mother, nurse and home school teacher for my daughter, my means of working were very limited. With no support coming in and very limited means, I could not pay the house note, utilities and other bills. We were facing foreclosure and the house was run down and in need of major repairs. There was no way we could sell the house in its condition. MS Home Solutions and David McMillen was able to come in and work with our mortgage company to purchase our property. This relieved me of a burden of a mortgage, insurance and property taxes. I would have had a foreclosure on my credit record if not for the helpful work of MS Home Solutions. David McMillen was easy to work with and he listened to all of my comments. He was even able to make helpful suggestions on the process of moving from a place that was packed with memories.
